Beautiful 02:38
No, I’m not like the guys you've been with And I'm not gonna even try Don't throw away all your dignity So there's nothing left you can find I know we're young we all want some fun But don't use it all on the run Cuz, you're beautiful You're beautiful Look in a mirror Go ahead tell yourself You're beautiful You're beautiful There's no other girl Who has a smile quite like you do Don't shy the eyes that are kind to you Don't look away into the night Just find the love that deserves you You'll know by the feeling inside Sometimes we run We refuse the sun But don't let yourself come all undone Cuz, you're beautiful You're beautiful Look in a mirror Go ahead tell yourself You're beautiful You're beautiful There's no other girl Who has a smile quite like you do And you're afraid That I'll be the one that makes everything all right And you're afraid That you'll be the one that holds on too tight And I'm afraid That you'll miss your chance to fall in love with me. No I'm not like the guys you've been with And I'm not gonna even try

Delaware 02:56
Went back to Delaware Breathed in that youthful air And I flew back in a dream The dorm where I first lived in sin Covered in moss and all caved in But I saw my smile in that dream Oh going back Stumblin ‘cross the railroad tracks We didn't give each other flack For draining our defenses Celebrations and dumpling carts In a time where we lead with our hearts It never seemed so much like a dream Outside on the concrete walk Cheap cigars while we walk down the block I can’t believe it all was a dream Oh going back Stumblin ‘cross the railroad tracks When we gave each other slack For draining our defenses Four years go pretty fast Happiness they said it would last It only lives on in a dream I sit alone in an empty room Slate blue walls in perpetual gloom I only wish that I had a dream Oh going back Stumblin ‘cross the railroad tracks There’s a gift the world lacks Draining it’s defenses So I go on Building my defenses

Lonely 04:37
Does he smile when he is kissing you Does he laugh at all the quirky things you do Does he hold you and make sure your feet are warm So you can sleep all through night Does he miss you when you walk away Does he melt when you kiss him on his neck Does he yearn inside when you walk in the room Well baby I do I do, I do, I do You don’t have to be lonely You don’t have to be lonely You don’t have to be lonely If you come home with me Does he stay up nights just wishing someday soon That you’ll be there with him to sleep under the moon Does he need you to live another day Well baby I do I do I do You don’t have to be lonely You don’t have to be lonely You don’t have to be lonely If you come home with me There are some people Who live with what they’re stuck with There are some people Who fight their way out from the shadows And I will be here If you want to ever want to make it all disappear You don’t have to be lonely You don’t have to be lonely You don’t have to be lonely If you come home with me (A cappella) You don’t have to Have to be lonely You don’t have to Have to be lonely

Sinatra 03:44
She was my everything Couldn’t see her wedding ring Didn’t know I could feel So in love, so unreal Til we danced to Sinatra that night She wore that lacy dress We forgot our crazy mess What a ride we survived We were barely alive Til we danced to Sinatra that night Oh I had to let her go Timing will often you know The future made us ill But the moonlight stood still When we danced to Sinatra that night We watched each other cry We both knew it was goodbye Then you smiled, then I smiled Then our laughter grew wild As we danced to Sinatra that night Oh I had to let her go Timing will often you know The future made us ill But the moonlight stood still As we danced to Sinatra that night She was my everything Doesn’t have her wedding ring Sleepless groans, my heart moans I’m alone dreaming How we danced to Sinatra that night Guess it seems our love died But at least we tried When we danced to Sinatra that night

Paintings 04:14
Slow down Take it easy on me Someone got to me first And I don’t know worst of it yet I’ve seen how high the roses Red roses have bloomed She pulled their roots She makes me feel like I’m the colors in her painting She leaves me there to dry You make me feel Like I’m the colors but you are waiting To sit there and cry Just take it easy on me tonight You say, you say That I create my own glue So I can stay where I want Maybe you’re right But baby you’re not right My sight’s just been bruised My view's all black and blue She makes me feel like I’m the colors in her painting She leaves me there to dry You make me feel Like I’m the colors but you are waiting To sit there and cry Just take it easy on me You are my future And not my past So I won’t last another day Without you I’m aware I talk too much I know I’m such a selfish man To talk to It’s a blurry sound to sift through But if you focus on the lines You'll see I need more time Just for tonight Just for tonight She makes me feel like I’m the colors in her painting She leaves me there to dry You make me feel Like I’m the colors but you are waiting To sit there and cry Just take it easy Just take it easy Just take it easy on me

You have got me feeling alright You have got me trembling through the night Before I fall in love with all my might You have got to leave this bed tonight Let me stop the tape and hit rewind You have got this groove that’s hard to find Before I cut the sound and realign You have got to leave this bed behind You have got to leave woah You have got to leave woah Cuz You are the best thing That’s happened my world and all it’s schemes So, check the gate and wrap it up cuz You don’t wanna know what goes on behind the scenes These are how my feelings go They ebb and flow I see you in the morning glow Then I don’t know Where to fit you in I’m wearing thin Amazing where the mind begins to go Here’s the point I’m tryna make to answer why I’ve dodged your calls a million times I’m saving you from all my lies You have got to bid this bed goodbye You have got to leave woah You have got to leave woah Cuz You are the best thing That’s happened my world and all it’s schemes So check the gate and wrap it up cuz You don’t wanna know what goes on behind the scenes So wipe away those rose filled eyes And see what’s really there You will find lonely kid Who forged an iron mask he wears so well You have got me feeling alright But now you got me trembling with fright And before I lose with all my might You have got to leave this bed tonight You have got to leave woah You have got to leave woah Cuz you are the best thing That’s happened my world with all it’s schemes So check the gate and wrap it up cuz You don’t wanna know what goes on behind You don't wanna know what goes on behind the scenes

It’s a blur when I’m around you, yeah I’m not proud to turn completely upside down Spilling drinks, forgetting things… Spilling drinks, forgetting how we got into this conversation Or how we’re getting out So if I asked you to stay After I’ve cleared out all the fog in my brain Would I be so out of place? Just for an hour Let me stammer through my words Before they go sour Or before I lose my nerve Just for an hour Let me find a way To prove myself Or I’ll lose myself To all my past regrets Oh baby, just for an hour Please let me fall for you I’m not a broken man I promise… I’ve just been broken down by girls that look a lot like you before You’ll sweep me off the floor So if I asked you to stay After I’ve slowed down all the thoughts in my brain Would that be so out of place? Just for an hour Let me stammer through my words Before they go sour Or before I lose my nerve Just for an hour Let me find a way To prove myself Or I’ll lose myself To all my past regrets Oh baby, just for an hour Please let me fall for.. You would not believe how long I’ve keep these shackles around my knees I’m begging, praying just rearranging Making space and walking through my dreams My dreams Just for an hour Let me stammer through my words Before they go sour Or before I lose my nerve Just for an hour Let me find a way To prove myself Or I’ll lose myself To all my past regrets Oh baby, just for an hour Ooh baby, just for an hour Please let me fall for you Please let me fall for you

Spark 04:45
I guess it’s my fault I let you pick the place I grabbed my shirt from where it lies I’ve never been the iron type But I’m on this train today I’m always late but not this time Across the table catch your eye Replace the worry that’s been on my mind With how you look tonight I’m on a high But I gotta slow down We say goodnight But there’s something right we found And I want to scream it out Don’t you know you light me up Your buzz is all I need to lead me through the dark You flipped the switch, it turned me on Yeah my car's been left in park I'm on the highway, baby Waiting for your spark My pulse is racing And I’m turned around My up is down I'm wondering to myself What did you do? Floating around, singing your tune You chase away the blues I’m on a high But I gotta slow down We said goodnight But there’s something right we found And I want to scream it out Don’t you know you light me up Your buzz is all I need to lead me through the dark You flipped the switch, it turned me on Yeah my car's been left in park On the highway, baby Waiting for your spark Don’t you know you light me up Your buzz is all I need to lead me through the dark You flipped the switch, it turned me on Yeah my car's been left in park I'm on the highway I’m on the highway I’m on the highway, baby Waiting for your spark Waiting for your spark Waiting for your spark

Level 30 05:35
My parents always told me You go out and be somebody Just start and show the world what you’re about Tried to be a song and dance man But in hindsight what a dumb plan When the world came crashing down We all fell first Tried to go to school for business But I left and joined the circus Of musicians playing songs to empty chairs Thought I’d age like a fine red wine Getting better over time But I’m drowning at the bottom of the barrel And my life line’s racing forward While my love life's in a haze Can’t keep up with all the high speed In this game of life I play Cuz I’m a bust at 29 Will I have all that it takes to reach level 30 Well I fell in love a few times Each one blew up like a landmine If you ask them all they’d say it’s all my fault I’m just searching for a purpose To provide some kind of service I need to find a place in this big world I thought my life would fall in line With every mountain that I’ve climbed But I’m broken at bottom of the hillside I always think I make the right move I never want to play it safe Must be something wrong with my chess piece Cuz I’m always in check mate Well I’m a bust at 29 Hope I have all that it takes to reach level 30 And the nights fade to black But every morning when I wake up I find a chance to start again And the light, it draws me in With the sunrise comes reflections It paints an image of the hero I've become Well I can say that when I die I will know that I have tried Even if I haven’t mastered all that I’ve done If I take a breath and step back All the shadows seem to fade Cuz I’ve defeated all my demons In every level that I’ve gained I made it through to 29 I know I have all that it takes to reach Level 30

about

I curated a group of 9 songs that I wrote in my 20’s have listed each one in chronological order of when I wrote them. The last song is titled “Level 30” and talks about my life in reflection as well as what I want for my life in the future. The idea was to create a sort of musical time capsule or personal journal of my life as a young man, and I think you can see the musical and emotional growth through the album. Genres fluctuate throughout the album, and I believe there is something for all music lovers to enjoy in this project.
